Silverhawk

The Silverhawk is the first of the new "Hawk" designs produced by Chesterton Aviation. The Lead Design Engineer, Christopher Salzer recently left Hughes Aviation to work with us, and he brought several of his ideas with him, including the design of the Silverhawk. You'll notice the striking similarity to the Bloodhawk, which was also based on Salzer's design. However, without Salzer's guiding hand, Hughes had to build their version on a larger airframe, making it less nimble than the Silverhawk. The Silverhawk also carries more armor than the Bloodhawk.

A few of our pilots have asked for customizations to their Silverhawks which make the following modifications. One 40 cal machine gun is dropped and replaced with a 30 caliber. The extra weight is used to add additional armor to the leading and trailing edges of each wing.

Thunderhawk

Continuing testing of the Silverhawk led to the development of the thunderhawk. When our designers experimented with a lighter airframe, they found they could mount more weapons and armor. Though the Thunderhawk cannot withstand the G-forces that the Silverhawk can, its greater firepower and protection made it a favorite with our test pilots.

There are two variants of the Thunderhawk. The first one replaces the 50 caliber machine gun with two 30 cal's and adds extra armor to the nose and leading edges. The second version replaces all the guns with eight 30 caliber machine guns. The only pilot to fly this version, nicknamed "Pyro," loads all magnesium rounds.

Blackhawk

Responding to comments made by our test pilots who prefer maneuverability over speed, Chesterton Aviation created the Blackhawk, which retains the stronger airframe, but downgrades the engine, allowing for a greater weapons load. The armor on the Blackhawk is concentrated toward the front, giving it a decidedly offensive stance.

For pilots who want more variety in their weapons loadout, a version incorporating 5 30 caliber machine guns and 2 40 caliber machine guns is also available.
